NCM Fathom
is partnering with The Boondock Saints, LLC to bring a cult classic back to
the big screen for a one night event on Thursday March 11th at 7:30 pm
(local time).
Fraternal twins
Conner and Murphey MacMannus are on a mission from God to rid Boston of
crime; however, instead of signing up for the police force, these
hard-drinking Irish-American brothers take the law into their own hands.
Heralded as saints by the city's beleaguered residents, the brothers also
attract the attention of Paul Smecker, the openly gay FBI special agent,
assigned to investigate the spate of killings amongst the ranks of the
Russian mafia.
The event will
begin with a special introduction from Troy Duffy, the original
creator/Director and Writer of The Boondock Saints, who will welcome BDS
fans to this one night, 10th Anniversary celebration Event followed by value
added content filmed specially for this Event (content captured in February
2010). Troy, the cast and others who were and are part of "The Boondock
Saints" decade long journey would be interviewed and will discuss the last
ten years and all that Boondock Saints has become due to the fans. The
content will include a retrospective from the last ten years as well as talk
about the video games, comics and graphic novels etc. that are in the works.
The added value will also feature guest musicians who participated in the
development of the soundtrack from both movies. A special performance clip
by "The Dirges" from their new music video that was also part of "All Saints
Day" soundtrack. The value add will be a celebration with the filmmakers,
the cast and fans captured on video and edited together for this event.
This event is equivalent to an R rating.
